Gear List for Class
PISTOL TRAINING
- Valid government photo issued ID
- Handgun (rental handguns are available)
- Holster for your preferred method of carry (appendix, 3 or 4 o’clock). Kydex is recommended to allow for safely returning to the holster. No leather or nylon holsters that will not maintain its shape.
- Eye and ear protection (should have one pair of clear lenses)
- Baseball hat (not required but recommended for further eye protection)
- Rugged clothing with solid footwear (absolutely no open toed shoes)
- Rain gear/sunscreen, we train in all weather so please come prepared.
- Ammunition: CPL and Home Defense, 2 magazines and 100 rounds. Intro to handgun, 2 magazines and 100 rounds. Pistol Phase 1 and 2, 4 magazines and 400 rounds. Ammunition is available for purchase. PLEASE confirm if you need ammunition with us prior to your training date!
- Magazines: At least 4
- Magazine carrier/pouch
- Cleaning equipment for your pistol
- Notebook with pen or pencil
- Drinks and snacks (bag lunch for full 8-hour course, there is no time to go out)
AR15/CARBINE TRAINING
- Valid government photo-issued ID
- AR-15 rifle that is reliable and chambered in 556 (preferred), 7.62×39 or 7.62×51
- Sling for your rifle
- Eye and ear protection (should have one pair of clear lenses)
- Baseball hat (to provide further eye protection)
- Rugged clothing with solid footwear or tactical style boots. Absolutely no open toe shoes. Knee pads are not necessary for Phase 1 carbine training, however, they are strongly recommended for Phase 2.
- Rain gear, and sunscreen, we train in all weather so please come prepared.
- Ammunition: AR-15 Intro 2 magazines and 200 rounds of ammunition. AR-15 Phase 1, 4 rifle magazines and 400 rounds of ammunition. AR-15 Phase 2, 4 rifle magazines and 400 of rifle and 100 rounds of pistol ammunition. Ammunition is available for purchase. PLEASE confirm if you need ammunition with us before your training date.
- Magazines: At least 4
- Magazine pouch/rig for at least 2 AR-15 magazines. A chest rig or belt-mounted duty-style pouch will work. Student preference.
- Cleaning equipment for your rifle
- Notebook with pen or pencil
- Drinks and snacks (bag lunch for full 8-hour course, there is no time to go out)
- FOR AR-15 PHASE TWO TRAINING ONLY, a semiautomatic pistol with at least 2 magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition, Additionally, a proper belt or duty-type rig with a hip holster that will not lose its shape and properly fit your firearm (no appendix set up) and magazine pouches for your pistol.
SHOTGUN TRAINING
- Valid government photo-issued ID
- Reliable pump or semi-automatic shotgun, preferably 12 gauge, however, a .410 or 20 gauge would be sufficient.
- Sling for your shotgun.
- Eye and ear protection (should have one pair of clear lenses).
- Rugged clothing with solid footwear or tactical-style boots. Absolutely no open-toe shoes.
- Rain gear/sunscreen, we train in all weather so please come prepared.
- Ammunition: 50 rounds of 00 buck and 10 rounds of slugs.
